A Project In A Picture

Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe – das ist das Motto unseres Vereins Bützower für Gambia e. V. Das Gartenprojekt in Labakoreh hilft neben der Versorgung des Dorfes mit frischem Gemüse vor allem auch den Frauen des Dorfes gemeinsam Selbstwirksamkeit zu erleben. Beteiligung und Frauenförderung waren in diesem Projekt von Anfang an gegeben und werden von den Dorfbewohnerinnen auch dankbar angenommen und gelebt.

Helping people to help themselves – that is the motto of our association Bützower für Gambia e. V. The garden project in Labakoreh helps not only to supply the village with fresh vegetables, but above all to enable the women of the village to experience self-efficacy together. Participation and the advancement of women were a given in this project from the very beginning and are gratefully accepted and lived by the villagers.
